“Restaurant with great hamburger dishes!”

Located on the 5th floor of Marunouchi OAZO, this restaurant serves hamburgers and other grilled dishes. It's an affiliate of "Tsubame Grill", which was established in the early Showa period, but the menu and prices do not seem to differ greatly from those of "Tsubame Grill". It is one of the restaurants in a large commercial facility, and there is nothing special about the entrance or interior design. There are a few counter seats, but basically most of the seats are for two or more people, so it's best to use the restaurant with your friends, partner, or family. The dishes served are impeccable, thanks to the skills that have been cultivated for nearly 100 years. The ingredients are always fresh, and the texture is just right, neither too soft nor too hard. The sauces are never too pungent. The dishes are served piping hot, but there seems to be some effort made to prevent excessive splashing of fat and sauce. The quality of the staff's customer service is generally good, although some staff members are friendlier than others. On the other hand, some customers may find them overly familiar.

A nice surprise with a good set menu and German beer. If you pang for sausages, they have a good platter. Some decent burgers and pork chops too. Also have available some om-rice in case you bring your kid along.

“A good meal with friendly staff”

I and 2 friends were pretty hungrily searching for somewhere to eat around Tokyo Station. We found the Marunochi Oazo building which had a good choice of restaurants on the 5th and 6th floors. We chose the Tsubame kitchen to get a break from Japanese cuisine. I had a Hamburg steak with an egg on it ...which in reality was a big burger. It is the first time that I have had a fried egg with gravy. My friends had salmon and pork. Feedback from all quarters was pretty positive. Although there was a bit of a language barrier the waiters were really friendly and helpful. One word of warning. Only order a large beer if you want a 1 litre Stein of beer.

“Very Good Hamburger Steak and German Beer”

Tsubame kitchen is located in the Oazu building across from the north Marunochi exit of Tokyo station. The restaurant dates back to the 1920's when eating meat was becoming popular, as a foreign dish, in Tokyo. The original was in Ginza, this shop is a small branch. The fare here is mostly hambu...rger steaks and baked potato, with side salads and a few fish and poultry offerings. Their most famous dish was beef stew, but they stopped serving it back when the "mad cow" threat was at its peak and Japan stopped importing US beef. Now they serve ground beef in a Japanese way. The food is really quite satisfying if not particularly inventive. The beer is cheap by Japanese standards, and this is one of the few places in Tokyo serving German beer by the liter. When I am hungry, want a Bavarian beer, and don't want to spend too much this is where I go in Tokyo. I have been here a half dozen times and to their main restaurant a dozen times before it was closed to make room for yet another sky rise office building. I can definitely recommend this place if looking for a reasonably priced place to get some comfort food in an American sort of way. I only downgrade it a star because of the limited menu offerings.
