“Great Food in Pontocho Alley”
Great food, great service and reasonable price considering the tourist location. We ate a lot to be fair; mixed sashimi, mixed meat tempura, large prawn tempura with a couple of sides & 2 drinks each. Cannot fault any of it & thoroughly enjoyed it. They open at 17:00 in the evening and we were lucky... they could fit us in as by 6pm they were turning away walk-in customers. Testament to their food though. All in all, would definitely recommend it

“Good stuff”
Very tasty and an excellent amount of choice, had sashimi and tons of very specific tempura paired with a matcha beer. They even have unagi and ray fin tempura

Amazing tempura and lunch spot on your way down the alley. Tons to choose from in the area and we are glad we stopped here!!

“Great Japanese restaurant/bar to visit when you’re in Kyoto.”
Best Wagyu steak I’ve had. Enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. Our server Baki was very helpful and explained the menu to us and recommended the steak dinner. Staff was very nice and friendly. We didn’t have a reservation but the host seated us right away.

“A great find in Kyoto.”
Great place with tasty tempura and sashimi as well as Wagyu, sushi etc. Friendly staff with quick service and very good value. Nice sake and many drink options . Good atmosphere and surroundings. Couldn’t fault this place if you’re just after a casual, affordable place for a meal.
