“Nice place but the menu was not for me ”
This cafe is a cozy little place with a view on the river, definitely a nice place to have a cup of coffee or a bite. They start serving with a cup of hot tee, nice! I have some food allergies so there was basically nothing for me on the menu but it seems this place has a lot of options for green t...ee/matcha lover/triers.

Great place for matcha desserts such as parfaits and anmitsu. This place sets that each person is required to order a dish. Cozy environment and if you sit by the counters you can take a view outside across the bridge to the park. Good try for someone that likes authentic green tea.

“Great desserts near Arashiyama bridge”
Great place for a sweet pause with a view on the always busy Arashiyama bridge! Desserts here are delicious, with a traditional touch (green tea powder, red beans, agar-agar, matcha ice cream). Prices are not low (about 1000-1200 yen for a dessert) but reasonable considering ample portions! This pla...ce is very popular so it’s good to come at the right moment and have a place.

“Take a break with a great view”
Located right on the corner, on the second floor, you have a perfect view of the bridge, river and all the people who are milling around. The first floor is actually a confectionery store that sells the local matcha tea in all its different reincarnations. You have go through to the back of the st...ore and up the stairs to get to the cafe. Prices are expensive for what you get. However you get a great view, its air conditioned and we found it perfect to take a break from all the walking around. Everything on the menu has a common theme. It's about 1000 yen per serving or more and its infused with matcha tea. Matcha ice cream, parfaits, dessert bowls. They have matcha cakes and even matcha noodles. If you don't like matcha tea flavor, don't come here but if you want to try different ways to incorporate matcha tea, this is a pretty good place to come.
