“Good food”
We stubbled on this place, and were pleased with the food and service. Only bummer is that it’s a smoking restaurant. Very small, but food was good!

“A great hole in the wall tonkatsu joint”
We arrived at this small eatery located on a side street off the main drag in Ginza. It is down a flight of stairs in the basement. The room is small and cramped but the owner is as friendly as can be. It was packed with locals so that is usually a good sign that the food is good. We ordered the por...k filet, pork sirloin, oysters and creme croquette. Each of them was superb but the pork sirloin was divine in my opinion. Coupled with a cold beer and a few small glasses of sake, the dinner was a delight. If your looking for a 5 star dining experience then this is not for you but if you are all about the tonkatsu then it comes highly recommended.

“Panko-Fried Pork Cutlets”
Located in the basement, Tonki offers a variety of fried foods. We ordered the Sirloin cutlet, one meal and one a la carte. They came out nicely fried and not oily. The cabbage was fresh and crunchy. I especially liked the miso soup as there were some veggies inside.
