My wife and I ate here during our 3 week trip to Japan for our honeymoon. Luke, Jonathan and the staff here really made this meal unforgettable. We were really overwhelmed by the hospitality given here, including giving us some of the best views we could ask for and providing us with absolutely deli...cious food. Particular highlights included the A5 Hokkaido wagyu dish and the brown sugar tart dessert, although every dish felt harmonious with each ingredient on the plate feeling necessary. Aside from having the best views we have ever had during dinner, the service was friendly, relaxed and personal. They were so kind to provide some very special treats for us because it was our honeymoon. We are lucky enough to have eaten at various top class restaurants around the world. I have to say that this was quite possibly the best dining experience we have had. At times I have found the michelin guide in Japan to be a bit confusing (particularly some of the bib gourmands we have tried), although I would strongly implore you to make a reservation here as this is surely pushing the limit of the one star grading in my view.

We were at Signature on April 14 in the evening. My wife had Happy Birthday and we wanted to have a special dinner that day. Everything was perfect since our arrival. Very polite lady at the entrance, excellent french cuisine, drinks, competent waiters and very nice overall atmosphere. I cannot comp...lain about anything. Especially I would like to thank lady who agreed to provide table near the window for us despite of the fact that we were with two kids. As I understood they usually reserve these tables only for adults. It was a very pleasant evening and I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

The food here is excellent as is the service. Whilst fine dining it is not pretentious. Great views over the city as well. We had the lobster to start and the lamb for main and both were excellent.

“Amazing dinner ”
We were in Tokyo on a foodie trip and based on the things we heared about headchef Luke Armstrong, we were eager to go and have dinner at Signature! Where so lucky to get a windowtable at this beautiful restaurant. From the start with two snacks, who made you crave for more, the re-invention of the ...taste of a tomato in this mouthful of perfection,to the kingcrab cooked like i never expierenced before with a little dot of caviar to make the best even better. The Japanese grade 5 wagyu main course was a piece of heaven on my palate. And then there was dessert ..., a bliss to the eye and mouth! The cuisson of each dish was perfection! This chef is on the road to his second and third michelin star! You rock Luke! I would travel to Tokyo only to dine at Signature again.

On January 11 we (me and my husband) decided to have dinner at the signature restaurant which has 1 Michelin star, and since I have dined there before I was waiting for the opportunity to dine there again. We both ordered the 6 course tasting menu and added wagyu beef plus a bottle of wine. The tota...l check was $725. The food was very taste and the service was great, overall a great experience. However 2 hours later I found myself throwing up and I felt very sick, like really sick, like I’ve never felt before. It was even embarrassing what happened in my room. I will skip the details. Two hours later, basically 4 hours after the meal, my husband went on the same journey. This terrible experience went on the whole night and the next day we didn’t eat anything and we just left the room for an hour to sit in the lobby (next to the bathroom) to let them clean our room. Once we were in the lobby we spoke with the food and beverage manager that assured us that he is going to investigate this internally. He gave us his business cards and we send him an email in which we expressed our frustration. He apologized again. The next day when we started to feel better, not 100%, but much better we spoke to the general manager of the hotel. Again he assured us that he is going to investigate and told us that it will take about a month (it seems weird to me). We suggested that because we felt so bad from his restaurant he should compensate, but we really don’t need the compensation of the hotel for us, so our suggestion was that he will donate $2000 to any charity that supports the hungry children in Africa. We felt that if we suffered 24 hours to safe 1 child in Africa our suffering was worth it. It seemed to him weird and he explained to us that Mandarin Oriental is donating anyway. We told him that we donate as well and it can be a win win situation for everybody. The general manager insisted in repeating that he must investigate the situation and he believes that it’s not from his restaurant even though we explained to him that this was the only time that both of us ate the same food.
