“very tasty and beautifully presented Kaiseki food.”
This is the second time we went. There are only 3 set courses, but food is delicious, beautifully crafted using delicate essense/flavours of fresh ingredients. chef explains every creation how it is bening made/ what ingredient is. (so, if you don't want to stop conversation with your friends, it is... not for you). Quantity is not much, but as i don't eat large quantity, it suited me very well. flavour/taste is very delicate. so it is not for people who like strong flavoured food/ food swimming in soy sauce.

“UNIQUE AND LOCAL!”
We went to Tamasaka Restaurant on our first dinner in Tokio. It’s located in Marunouchi Brick Square beautiful area to walk! They are very welcoming but I strongly suggest to have a Translator App which helps a lot for understanding us with the chef! I asked for them to prepare a vegetarian menu and... it was delicious specially de rice made with lotus! Also tempura vegetable are fresh and nice All of the plates are very small so if your hungry asked for the whole menu. For the people that likes to try different and gourmet style foods and different type of fish, this place is a must! And don’t forget to try Sake it is really special and delicious! And also I Strongly recommend to make reservation in advance specially if you are going at dinner time !

“Truly Japanese place in the heart of Tokio”
I got a reservation from a local business partner who arranged for lunch and even reserved the menu. It was a different experience as this place in the heart of Tokio's business district doesnt have english speaking staff nor a menu. I was the only foreigner around and I was treated very well by the... staff. Food was well prepare and in some plates I did not know what I was eating. Flavours and presentation were very different to Japanese restaurants that I have eaten in the west. A good experience if you want to go beyond the food you are used to and try a truly local place. I would go for the menu as it has a lot of small plates you can taste.
