“Within Akiha Ichi ”
After a late night electronics shopping at Akihabara, I found a eatery complex/building called Akiha Ichi. With many restaurants on several floors, I used the lit up, photo restaurant guide in front of the building to see what I wanted for dinner. I picked this casual seafood eatery. Taking the e...scalator to the 2nd floor, this restaurant was a lively izakaya. Happy co-workers having meals after a long day of work. Dining alone, I sat at the counter. Fresh seafood is the theme of this restaurant as the name suggests-Tsukiji. Ordering was easy with photo menus. I had a mix seafood bowl set that came with the ubiquitous miso soup. Many combinations to choose from. Waiter extremely helpful and nice. Fast service and fresh, fresh raw seafood. My meal was about $15. There're other eateries in this building, but I was very happy with my choice. Small eatery with aprx. 10 small tables and a long counter where the sushi chef prepares his masterpieces. I was traveling alone and never was made uncomfortable eating alone. Japan is very accommodating to single diners.
