“Sumo” is the national sport of Japan and wrestlers’ meals are called “CHANKO”. Carefully selected local ingredients are delivered directly to the wrestling arenas from “Tanimachi” (sponsors) who support the wrestlers from every location in Japan. “CHANKONABE” is a hot pot made with a hearty amount of those special ingredients cooked in a homemade broth. The combination of all the ingredients mixed together gives “CHANKONABE” its unique flavor. It is the soul food of Japanese people.
