“Good japanese cuisine with a good view of the city!”
A friend of ours booked a table for lunch in this Japanese restaurant, which is on the 59th floor of the Sunshine (building). The Sunshine is a 60-story building with shops and restaurants (and maybe some offices) about 10 minutes walk from JR Ikebukuro station on the east side. From the undergrou...nd (Level B1), there are some elevators, which will take you directly to the 58th and 59th floor in a very short time, with a speed of 600m/min maximum. (Speed displayed in the elevator). Some other elevators make more stops. We were seated at a table in a separated space with a good view of the city. It is a pity that it was cloudy that day, but if the weather is fine, the view should be much better. We took the cheapest lunch menu of 2000 yen, which includes free refills of rice, but the drinks are not included, except water and Japanese tea. The food was well presented and tasted good, and the service was also very correct. The portion was rather small, but maybe enough for Japanese standards. (not for US standards) Globally, as it is located on the 59th floor with a good view of the city and that we had a table in a separated space, we think this restaurant offers a rather good value for money.

“DELICIOUS FOOD - STUNNING VIEW - UP ABOVE THE WORLD”
TENKUU NO NIWA HOSHI NO MARU KI (SKYAIR GARDEN TREE OF STARS) on the 59th floor of the Sun Shine building at Toshima in Tokyo Prefecture offers traditional Japanese cuisine. Delicious food, impeccable service with a stunning view of the city make, a meal in this restaurant, especially dinner with... all the glittering lights till the end of the horizon a very memorable experience. Strongly recommend this restaurant for the over all experience that we had when we had dinner there last month.

“Gorgeous View, Mediocre Food”
High above the city, in a private room, we dined with a group. The view was spectacular. The room was a bit warm. The service was slow. This Place does not cater to tourists and is traditional Japanese cuisine. Too authentic for my tastes. Several of the courses were uninviting. Overall it was medio...cre at best.

“Exciting views of Tokyo matched by impressive food and service”
Our Japanese colleagues arranged this dinner for the visiting guests from USA. as we were a large group, we had a special room. while it gave us privacy for the group; we were not able to soak the atmosphere of the restaurant. The private room offered exciting views of Tokyo from the 59th floor. i...t was a clear evening and we were able to the vast expanse of the city. the Tokyo tower looked majestic from a distance. The service was OK as the person attending to us did not seem to pay attention to our drinks on the table. The food was degustation type of fixed menu and dishes came at regular interval. Food had variety was of high quality and well presented. Even the Japanese colleagues were appreciative of the food. A pleasant evening.
