“Quick drink before heading back”
After a long day touring the area we were given some free time before our mini bus was taking us back, so having seen this the day before, we came in here for a few drinks. Lovely bar with Bavarian music playing and a nice choice of draught beers. The waitresses were very pleasant and spoke excellen...t English. I know that tips are frowned on in Japan but bit seems funny when they chase you to give you your change which isn’t even worthwhile.

“German Beer Hall in Tokyo!”
If you like this sort of thing it was OK. Built in 1890's alot of beer drunk here over time. Ceiling dark and stained...maybe from the years of tobacco now banned. Great range of beers and beer snacks and food. Tables very close together and the place is pretty loud. Great if you want a break f...rom local culture and food.4 people 2 beers each, 2 large salads, 4 large garlic breads and two plates of wedges came to around 12000 yen. Service was good the night we visited but due to rainy day, it was not busy.

“It hasn't changed in 35 years”
Used to go here in the mid 80's to while away Sunday afternoons. Has all the appearance of an old German tiled beer hall. Visited on several occasions recently and not disappointed, great place for people watching and now offer several beer options and basic food. The memories flooded back. Great pl...ace, do go if local.

“German Beer Hall in Tokyo”
Fantastic place to visit for food and drink, the table service is great, but as a solo diner very difficult to get someones attention to get served, but well worth a visit for a beer.

If you’re in the Ginza it is worthwhile to visit the Lion Beer Hall and have a drink and nibbles. The building is large in side with murals and plenty of noise / activity. If you like dark beers, the Creamy Top is worth a try. I’ve been going there since 1975.
