“Perfect dinner!”

Discovered this gem of a beef restaurant in a Ginza side street. Had been longing to try Wagyu beef and this dinner, in the form of Matsusaka beef , did not disappoint .. it was fabulous. The succulent beef really tastes like no other, virtually melts in the mouth. The restaurant itself was quiet,... very pleasant, Mozart playing in the background, very helpful Maitre D who spoke some English and was rightfully very proud of his beef. Price for 2 for the set menu with a couple of beers 23,000 Yen .. well worth it for an unforgettable dinner

“Super Good”

If you love beef, this resto is a must-visit. Nothing fancy abt the ambience . However, they serve high quality beef called the Matsusaka. There are only 200 members/restaurants who serve these wonderfully tender melt-in-your-mouth beef. You could choose to have them prepared several ways - Grilled..., in Sukiyaki or Shabu Shabu . Whichever prep you choose, in my opinion , will leave you wanting more ! We had first ordered the Sukiyaki but it was so good that we had to order another set in Shabu Shabu style ( hotpot ). Each set is ¥4900 (approx US$49) Excellent value considering the quality. There are abt 6 large but thin slices and my guess of the total weight of the 6slices is approx 180-200gms. A basket of fresh veggies were served too. Believe you me, this resto will satisfy all beef cravings. Totally happy to have stumbled upon this gem ❤

“Best meet ever”

Traveling in Japan we got to know and love Kobe beef, so for the finale of our visit in Tokyo We followed my local friend advice and went to Matsusaka Ginza Matsusaka beef is considered the best Japanese Beef, (better than Kobe, The owner, who served us by hmself was such a great host, told us,... that there are only 300 certified Matsusaka cows a year. We ordered the full-dinner meal, and had it in the traditional way , were you roast it yourslv on the table's grill. The beef was such a pleasure, I just chew it slowly slowly, to hold every molecule of it , However the desert wasn't at that level, but who cares when you get such an extraordinary beef If you are in Ginza and wish to check the best Kobe around – Matsusaka Is the place for you.

“Wagyu was amazing”

We had wagyu and it was definitely better than Kobe. If you don't like pepper, be sure to let them know upfront because it is loaded with pepper. After scraping it off, the meat still melted in my mouth. Truly amazing. You do cook it yourself but that was fine with us - a lot of fun and the waite...r spoke passable English. It's great because it's nearly hidden - you have to keep walking down the stairs to find it and it's a very small and intimate setting. I only gave it 4 stars because of the pepper - without it, it would have been 5 stars.

“Matsusaka Beef is an amazing thing to experience”

Located in a basement of a slightly old building, this kind of hidden gem is really good. The servers are nice, the chef in charge of the meat is friendly too. This is a yakiniku type of restaurant and you will have to cook your own meat, but matsusaka beef is really good that no matter if you don't... know how to cook it, it is really tasty and delicious. One of the best type of beef you could ever eat
