DIN TAI FUNG Ginzaten

We arrived at 2:30pm and though the restaurant does not close until 3pm we were turned away and treated very rudely. With employees like this running this restaurant they may as well close up permanently. Also I suggest listing floor or restaurant on elevator or photos of restaurant in the building.

This place is in the Caretta Mall serving Chinese Foods. There’re varieties of dishes that you can choose. Xiao Long Bao is the shop specialty. Good place for lunch and light dinner.

The gf and I love the Din Tai Fung near our home, so we thought we try out this location. It was okay. The service was slightly below average for Japanese standards. The food was fine. Three types of small dragon parcels (Pork, scallop, miso..2 pieces each), Three kinds of seafood dragon wrap ...(Scallops, snow crab, mentaiko...2 each), pickled cucumbers and wonton with spicy sauce for about $37 USD. We got there around 1:30pm on a weekday and there was no wait. As with many Japanese restaurants, it is located above street level, so you will need to look up for the signage. Or check the building directory to fine the restaurant.

Very tasty food, nothing too fancy but freshly or prepared and great flavours. Nice service and reasonably priced food and drinks. A menu in English also helps
