We were at the end of what turned out to be an expensive trip to Japan - so running low on funds, we were determined to find a good value place to try some Wagyu before we returned home. I put in a bit of time and effort, and came up with this place, which was close enough to where we were staying ...and made a reservation using OpenTable. So glad we did. Lunch was great value, and the food was excellent. We arrived a little early, but it was no problem, and the waiter went to great lengths to explain the menu to us. So glad we didn't miss out on the chance to try Kobe beef in a Japanese restaurant in Tokyo before we left - it was literally our last meal before we headed to the airport after our first visit to Japan.

“Brothers Birthday ”
£330 for a 200g sirloin steak has gotta be a joke? Gaucho London (which is poor), makes this place look like Heaven. House red at £60. We love our wine and steak, but this place is not accessible to the average Londoner.

“Best steak I've ever had”
Absolutely phenomenal. The beef has lived up to everything I expected it to be and then some. The service is impeccable with incredibly gracious hosts who greeted me by name straight from opening the door and before I managed to say who I am! The prices are quite high, however, you must consider you... are eating some of the most expensive meats in the world, it's worth every penny we spent as this was one of the best meals of my life! The tasting menu was well structured with relatively mild dishes leading up to the stake as to not overpower your pallet, with the carefully selected wine list to pair the steak with.

“Kobe Beef Kaiseki 511 Experience”
I really wanted to give this establishment 5 stars because the service and attention to detail was phenomenal. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the mood and decor of the restaurant. When we visited at 1830 on a Friday night, we were the first to enter the restaurant and by the time we left, there ...were only 5 tables that were occupied. It really worked out for us because the staff was able to pay more attention to us. The food was however a little over average and perhaps may not have been worth the cost of the meal. We opted for the Kobe-Beef Steak Dinner course which consisted of an salad with some sashimi, roast beef type dish made from Kobe beef with some baguettes, a soup, Kobe beef steak, and a chocolate fondue fudge cake. The Kobe beef was good, but not the best I've ever had. Honestly, the dessert was probably the best part of the meal and I'm not a dessert person. Each course was 19,170 yen and my total bill was over 50,000 yen ($500) + drinks. I need to mention that my gf got the regular steak and I got the premium and we really didn't notice a huge difference between the two. I believe there was a $40 difference to upgrade my steak. All in all, I would recommend it for the experience alone, if you have extra cash to spend. I really wish I would have asked the name of our server. She really made the experience very memorable. She was an Asian woman, late 20s or early 30s. She spoke English, Japanese, and Chinese. Short hair cut just below her ears. Cheers and thank you for being so attentive if you ever read this!

“some dishes are great, others are just ok and the pruce us very high”
I ordered the kobe beef seafood course. the first dish was labeled "seasonal appetizers" it consisted of young squidscwith scallions and yuzu vinaigrette, asparagus with kobe beef and sesame spread and piyatoe cream wiyh soy. the squids were of top quality and the vinaigrette was very good. the a...sparagus was wonderful and crisp, the sesame spread wad nice and the kobe beefvwas hardly noticeable as the dish had very little of it. Next came grilled water snail which was perfectly executed and presented. after that came chawanmushi which is steamed egg with pieces of prawns and kobe beef. i did not like that dish. the prawns and kobe get lost in all the egg and by the time the egg is done they get overcooked. next were two deep fried potato croquettes. one with foie gras and one with kobe beef. The croquettes were good but of course the foie gras and kobe beef are hardly noticed. Such a waste of premium ingredients. next was today's grilled fish which was spanish mackerel. it was splendid. now at last i got skewer flamed kobe beef sirloin steak accompanied with rice, misu soup and japanese pickles. The steak was excellent but i honestly believe i could find bettet steaks. To be totally honest i COULD have upgraded it but tje meal already costed an atm and a leg. rice and misu soup were basic, the pickles were great. the dessert was sweet soy mousse and macha ice cream. both very good. i also had nice soarkling sake and a wonderful bellini. The tab was about 21000 yen which is a lot. It was a very nice experiance and the service was great but i can't help feeling that i could have found a better deal. Maybe a less sophisticated menu that emphasizes the meat itself.
