“Our family favorite for pizza and pasta”
So many good places are too crowded to spontaneously get a table. Somehow, Fantasista Due finds a way to always squeeze us in. The food is consistently very good and the service efficient and consistent. High price performance and always a good dining experience. It's not cheap, but why should i...t be?

This is a terrible and unwelcoming place. They know nothing about Italian food and it’s very pricey for what you get, which is mediocre cafeteria food at the prices of a fancy restaurant. Some of the pasta dishes are around 3000 yen. The service is also terrible. I wanted to sit in one of the many s...pacious tables but the waiter insisted to sit me in the tiniest table possible in a corner, even though half of the restaurant was empty. I ordered some “pesce al forno” and it was dry and tiny. After having a terrible meal and 5000 yen later, I left hungry and went somewhere else for a pizza and warmer service. I’ll never ever go back!

“A place to avoid”
This was the very first time in my life that I had to return more than half of my pizza. This venue had previously a good pizza chef, who made it up for the high price (and too much air conditioner). Now he is gone and that quality of the pizza has gone berserk to unimaginable levels. Starting with ...the poor quality cheese that they are now using, this stuff is not edible for me. The place was already half empty compared to other times. Here a lesson for everybody: keep your employees happy or else!

“Unusual pizza; pleasant ambiance”
This upmarket pizzeria in trendy Azabujuban serves excellent if unusual pizzas in a large airy room. On my most recent visit, I sampled the Pizza Alghe - seaweed and prawns on a white base. Another oddity is the Pizza Carbonara - while Carbonara is probably my favourite pasta dish this is certainly ...the first place i've had it as a pizza. I'm not sure the attempt was entirely successful - it's served with fried egg yolk which just doesn't belong on a pizza in my book. The appetisers are excellent - I particularly recommend the grilled squid. The salads are almost too big if you're on your own. They're intended to be shared. As others have noted the restaurant is relatively expensive, but this is Azabujuban and I don't think the prices are excessive given the quality and the excellent service.

“Pizza was OK, but...be careful!”
This is a recently opened venue. The pizza chef apparently won a (local) contest and participated in the "Pizza Olimpics" in Neaples. That seemed to be a good start. The (one) room is kind of spacious and the tables are round, large and comfortable, so you don't feel packed into a box like in most p...laces. The pizza was good, well average among the good ones, and the espresso excellent. No smoking inside, but nice ashtray just outside. Fair enough. Now the minus points: a lunch menu for 1.200 JPY includes a generous salad, a pizza and coffee/drink. This is a bit too much considering that another well-established pizzeria quite in the vicinity, offers a lunch with appetizer, pizza AND dessert+coffee for 1.000 JPY and the same quality. Here the dessert is not included, but you can have one (only one choice!) for a 300 JPY extra. What really, really disappointed me is that when at the cashier I discovered that the prices were not inclusive of 8% V.A.T., so the bill became JPY 1.300. Not for the 100 JPY of course, but in the end a complete 30% more for the same quality and less food...that was quite disapponting. Also they have too many waiters there (one would be enough) who stand in the room like statues, which is somehow annoying. The prices for the evening menu are too expensive for this kind of place. The interior design is not that special and quality does not justify what they ask for. It's a pity because they seem to have potential, but have to re-think the strategy, considering that there are few other very good pizzerias within short walking distance: this is just one more...sorry, but you don't compromise on pizza.
