“Everything excellent... but the beef”
Dinner in Hanasato Roppongi. Very efficient and smiling waitress (good English) who helped us choose between the different options. Menu prices between 15 and 30K JPY which is unfortunately the norm for teppanyaki dinner in Tokyo. The wine list is mainly French with fantastic bottles (Latour, Grand ...Echezeaux, etc) but "entry" prices for red wines (below 20K JPY) are extremely limited. Most of the food was very enjoyable starting with delicate white fish sashimi with cucumbers, peppers and lemon sauce followed by Red Snapper on the grill. Unfortunately the beef was disappointing. Too much fat vs. meat and not tender enough. Considering this is the main reason why one would come to Hanasato, this is a disappointment. Garlic fried rice and miso soup were flawless and a delicate and excellent dessert chocolate banana with ice cream concluded a reasonably good night. It could have been very good with better beef.

“Cool and excellent Teppanyaki”
This is amaging Teppanyaki. This chef is cooking all of the items in the best. Generally Teppanyaki is the show. However, this Teppanyaki is to express well the Japanese cuisine. This restaurant is close to the Ritz-carlton hotel in Roppongi. and I think its useful for memorial dinner or business ...dinner.
