Les pif et dodine

Lovely staff, who did their best to explain the menu in English. Really good advice on size of dishes and beautifully cooked tasty beef.

We had a great set menu lunch at Les Pif et Dondine on the day we were leaving. We had wanted to have dinner the night before but there were no bookings available. It is a small but very high quality establishment with excellent no fuss food and service. Our lunch consisted of soup starter and main ...for 1,100 yen (about (A$15).

I found this restaurant on Trip Advisor as it is near our hotel (Intercontinental Tokyo Bay). It had limited reviews but positive ones so I decided to give it a shot. It was beyond my expectations. It's a tad tricky because the menu is only in French and Japanese but the waiter helped us with deciph...ering the menu. We split a bottle of wine - and ordered the asparagus salad, escargots, sliced beef (can't recall the exact name) and creek brûlée. Complimentary bread provided. Every item was so delicious and evenly spread out over the course of two hours. It was a small restaurant but made for a very intimate dining experience. Will definitely go back if I'm in Tokyo again!

Very very good French food. It's pretty small and we were just lucky that we only had to wait for 30 minutes I think. Food was phenomenal. The cook lived in France I believed. I don't think many French people can cook as well as he can. Don't expect to go cheap here, because you want to try everythi...ng. But you'll be guaranteed to walk out fully stuffed. If you want good European/French food, this is really the place to go. We wanted to go twice but figured that would be a faux pas in Tokyo. If we stayed longer we definitely would have done that. Just go!

I do not understand why this restaurant has not receive more stunning reviews. It took me over a week to get a reservation as they are always full. The food is delicious and the chef and staff are delightful. This is my favorite restaurant in all of Tokyo. I never thought I would be eating French fo...od in Japan. Go to the restaurant and have a great meal. They have a 1000 yen lunch that is great value and great food. The dinner is more expensive and definitely worth it. Book a table and get there.
