Located on the 16th floor of the Osaka Municipal Wholesale Market, you get a great view overlooking the Aji River and beyond eastward. The whole huge building is closed at night - except for this restaurant on the top floor. Therefore, you have to wander into a totally empty office building. It... was a strange feeling to be the only car in the parking lot, doors opening to an empty lobby, only people until you get to the restaurant. This is supposed to be a higher-end Japanese Izakaya. They have sister restaurants inside the Osaka Hilton. This location does have a well-worn look inside. Most of the tables have a GREAT view. There are a few Japanese-style low tables as well. As for the food: We had the Fugu hotpot - it was really good. We have had many Fugu hotpots over the years at different restaurants. . Considering their price, it was great value and we have no complaints. If we were to go again, we would avoid the tempura set. This is not a tempura restaurant, it was evident. Their sushi was really good. We were forced to agree that the restaurant's seafood offerings were really fresh and were of great value. Sake selection was just alright but the pours were generous, we left happy. At night, the fish market is closed. There is lots of parking in front and some in the back. You will have to drive through the market to get out. The fruit market warehouse area is in full swing at 9 pm, you needed to be on high alert to navigate through all those tractor-trailers, forklifts, trucks, and other vehicles that were zipping around.
