“Excellent ”
They serve a really good sushi, different from the others I tasted in Japan. We took the sashimi mix, a miso soup and several nigiri including the "Toro" (fatty tuna). Everything was very good, the sashimi was cut in very big pieces and also in the nigiri the fish was much more than the rice. I was ...also surprised we paid just 5700 yen including drinks, given the quality and quantities it was very cheap. Recommended

“Great portions”
If you tried sushi at home (UK) it's not a bit like Japan. Great big pieces of fish and watching the guys make it in front of you adds the the experience.

“Best Kyoto Sushi by far”
This little gem is a must for sushi lovers. Forget generous, try huge portions for sushi at a value so good we ate here 3 out of 6 days on our visit. High quality and great service. They aim to please and each dish was better than the last. We had our last meal there with 6 of us, everyone agreed th...is was the best sushi experience in Kyoto. We eat a lot of sushi and don’t take reviewing lightly. If you come to Kyoto find this place and you’ll be thrilled. Absolutely fantastic!!!

“Beyond Disappointing, food served frozen without an apology”
Went in for lunch, the place was quite empty which should have been an indication. The sashimi was good, the prices were higher than other sushi places in the city and did not match the pictures at all. However, mostly the biggest disappointment was when we ordered basashi (horse meat). Ive had it b...efore but my friends have not. It as served FROZEN! completely frozen and we couldn't even bite into it. When I complained, as Ive had it before and I know this isn't how its served- they took it off the bill but didn't offer an apology, just said its OK to eat it this way. I was disappointed only by the food served, but by the attitude and the thought that we are foreigners so we could be served something that is certainly not the way they'd serve it to locals.

“Disappointed...”
I was in the neighborhood and found this restaurant had good reviews so I blindly went... Fish quality is really average there. If you're looking for a quick eat on a budget this is an OK place. But if you're looking for really good sushi, I recommend you check other options. My girlfriend and I act...ually liked the bento boxes at the kyoto train station better...
