“Fabulous Multi Course Dinner”
We were fortunate enough to join my medical school classmate, Kan Kando and his family for dinner at this restaurant. It was a stupendously superb culinary experience. Kan is from Japan and used to live in Kyoto and was familiar with this place. It was certainly helpful that Kan speaks flawless ...Japanese, but the staff were extremely attentive and wrote out what each course was in English for us. The food was first rate and we were adventurous and tried everything. We had a Kaiseki dinner the following evening at a Ryokan and we thought that this dinner was better.

I had a great time for dinner with my girlfriend. Service and hospitality was very nice. Particularly Japanese and French cuisine presentation was so amazing!!! I want to come back to there soon.

We were taken to this intimate restaurant which is down a side street near the Hotel Okura. From the moment we sat down we were looked after with the usual attentiveness but no fuss of the Japanese. We had many courses all were beautifully presented and delicious. It was a rare treat and we would c...ertainly recommend and return to this marvellous gem.

“Amazing food, beautifully presented”
Following a visit by a friend a couple of months ago, twenty of my fellow travellers were fortunate to be able to book into this small but amazing restaurant. The table was beautifully set as a country scene, with minuscule menus written in Japanese inside tiny origami rabbits - one for each guest ...in different paper and colour, and a centre stone surrounded by fluffy grasses. Each course was a delight to both the eye and the palate. Because of the size of our party we had a set menu which I recall was about was about twelve delicious courses. It is French Infusion/Japanese cuisine, for example the first course was a combination mushroom mouse which we were advised to eat three ways; 1 - a portion on it's own, 2nd, a portion with the dressing which was a white miso sauce which formed a wave across the slate plate, the final portion with the raspberry sauce, I can't adequately describe the taste sensation. Each course was artfully presented in a style of dish to compliment the food. The entire experience is something we will always remember and if you can I recommend you make a booking to enjoy a similar experience (it is very popular and you would need to pre-book). The host (Monna) was great fun and whilst there was limited English spoken we had a very special night. There was also a hand written menu in English with some drawings which described some of the courses. Monna came outside with us at the end of the night and waved and bowed to us until we were out of sight. A wonderful dining experience.
