“Cozy and friendly spot, great dinner”
On a chilly autumn evening, we stopped in for dinner to find a cozy spot and a warm greeting, even though as American tourists our Japanese skills are nil. We really enjoyed the format of sitting at the counter, directly overlooking the meat prep area, exchanging questions with the chef, and cookin...g the food item ourselves on a little grill that is embedded in the counter between our two chairs. We found the meat to be tender and delicious (and of course we could cook it as little or as much as we wanted), and the other courses to be very satisfactory. The quantities were not huge (compared to typical US appetites, but we felt quite satisfied at the end of our meal). The staff was very helpful to us in navigating our experience, providing cooking advice (and even arranged taxi for us). I will recommend this spot to our concierge and to other visitors

“Poor Quality and Arguable Quantity”
I visited this place with my parents from the recommendation from Ritz Carlton, while it might be the worst Kobe Wagyu I've ever had and of course 'beated' my expectation. I'm totally disappointed with the Chief's skill of cooking and questioning the quality of the material. However, mostly surprise...d, I ordered 120 gram for my parents and 170 for myself. However theirs seemed much more than mine 😂😂😂 I checked with the chief twice and he said the quantity was correct. (As you can see, pic 1 was mine of 170g, pic 2 was my mother's 120g after she had eaten 2 pieces even!) Also it's extremely difficult to find a waitress here. I had to come downstairs myself. I wish Ritz Carlton to remove it from your recommendation list pls because I love Ritz Carlton soooooo much and this restaurant is really, really an awful one.

“Poor quality, extremely overpriced”
Stay away from this restaurant - the quality of the meat is extremely poor, although it charges an enormous premium. I visited this place with my wife based on a recommendation of the St Regis hotel in Osaka, as we were looking to try Kobe beef. We knew about the price range and we were comfortable... with it. What we didn’t know was the the meat was one of the most unimpressive cuts we have tried in the last few years. We love steak, we cook steak, and we have dined in countless steakhouses worldwide as well as in 3 other wagyu beef restaurants in japan. The Kobe tenderloin we had was no where close to what you would expect when you pay ¥12,000 ($100+) for a 100g steak. No wonder why on a Friday night the restaurant was almost empty.

“Wagyu and Kobe/Abalon”
In a typical japonese fashion, we order Kobe beef, that was very good but not cooked to perfection. The Wagyu ( Kyoto beef ) also the same opinion Also, we had Abalon for the first time ever. Cooked alive in front of us, it was really delicious. Vegetables, rice, shrimp and Mizu soup complemente...d a wonderful dinner !!!

“Good Steakhouse with Little atmosphere”
We made a reservation for four and were shown immediately to our table in a private cubicle like booth. Western style seating. The restaurant was fairly empty. Service was very efficient but the meal was well paced. The portions were generous and the food tasty, but it was a meal not an experien...ce. Prices are high but they all are in this area.
