“Enjoyable stay”
My partner and I stayed in the ryokan for 3 nights. The staff were as helpful as they could be with minimum English. We arrived at the train station and called them for their complimentary pick up service and they arrived within 5 minutes. Best part of the stay was the food, we arrived late on the... first night and the kitchen staff stayed back to prepare and cook our dinner. Both breakfasts and dinners were different each night and they were all quality meals. The room and ryokan overall was a bit on the older side but still maintained. The view from the room was great. The only shower and private bath was outside on the balcony which was a surprise, being winter it wasn't pleasant to be showering outside however I did not mind after the first night. Overall the stay was very enjoyable and would definitely recommend to stay at this ryokan.

“Food quality was way below expectations”
The restaurant looks dated and the doors screeched when slide open. There was no proper greetings or instructions as to when to start eating. After asking the staff what the food were, we started eating, only to realise that most of them were not fresh. Breakfast was slightly better but definitely f...ell short of expectations. Overall a disappointing dining experience.
