We are a long established restaurant with over 70 years of history in Nagaokakyo, a well-known site for growing bamboo shoots. Try our specialty “Takenoko Sugata Sushi” -- stuffed bamboo shoot sushi -- as well as other Kyoto cuisine and sushi.
Nagaokakyo City is located in the southwest area of Kyoto City. It is 10 minutes from Kyoto Station and 30 minutes from Osaka Station by train to reach our nearest railway station, JR Nagaokakyo Station. From Nagaokakyo Station, it is a 10 minute taxi ride. We serve Kyoto-style Kaiseki meals filled with seasonal specials and Kyoto-style sushi using fresh fish. Also, our specialty “Takenoko Sugata Sushi” -- stuffed bamboo shoot sushi -- is a popular menu entree available all year round. Nagaokakyo is very well-known for its bamboo shoots. In the springtime, we serve a “Takenoko Kaiseki” course to enjoy bamboo shoots. We accept major credit cards. Visit us even when you are on your own.
