Jojuin Temple (Kamakura city) near, Sushi of gourmet restaurant list

"Jojuin temple" was opened by Yasutoki Hojo, the third regent of Kamakura Bakufu, in 1219. It is said that Kobo-daishi Kukai enshrined Goma-kyo and Kokuzo-Bosatsu Gumonjiho for a couple of days here. Siege of Kamakura caused by Yoshisada Nitta burnt away it in 1333 and Okuno-nishi temporarily relocated to a valley. However, Soyuson reconstructed it and the temple has existed to the present time. The entrance is Gokurakujizaka Kiridoshi, which is famous as one of the "Seven Kiridoshi of Kamakura". It is also widely known as the temple of hydrangea and many kinds of hydrangea colour the temple grounds. The temple is 5 minutes walk from Gokurakuji station by Enoshima Electric Railway called Enoden and people visit here to celebrate hydrangea in June.
