Ritsurin Garden located in 1-20-16 Ritsurin-cho, Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture, is a garden built in the Edo period by feudal lords of the Takamatsu clan. Its construction took about 100 years to complete. It is one of the most famous daimyo gardens in Japan and has been designated as a National Special Place of Scenic Beauty and also as part of Takamatsu's History and Culture Road. The north and south part of the garden are beautifully landscaped, with trees that look good in every season. The park is always very crowded when the cherry blossoms are blooming and when the autumn leaves start turning red. In addition to traditional Japanese restaurants that are perfectly suited for holding banquets in the back parlor, there are also Italian restaurants, Chinese restaurants, Japanese taverns and many other types of restaurants in the vicinity of the park. You can have something to eat or drink there and take a short rest after having enjoyed the park.
