“Tokugawaen Garden (Japanese Garden)”
Beautiful well maintain garden. Can see the japanese style buildings and the landscaping in the garden. The most interesting part and actractive part for me and my family members is the fish pond. You can spen a token of money to buy the fish bait and have fund in food feeding. Children will definat...ely like and enjoy it. It was fund even we are all in adults.

I realize that it is quite difficult book a reservation at this restaurant, and with good reason. The garden offers such a beautiful view and gives the weary traveler a sense of peace. This coupled with five star grade food, will definitely equate to a memorable experience. It is quite pricey, e...ven by Nagoya standards, but the dining experience more than makes up for that.

“Wonderful food with a lovely garden view”
Lunch at this restaurant in Nagoya was a great surprise. It is located in the garden next to the museum. Most tables overlook the garden pond with large windows which makes a change from the typical indoor restaurant. This is Japanese fusion food with lunch starting at ¥2500 for a 3 courses plus co...ffee. Started with an amazing French sparking grape juice, light and fruity plus Australian wines. First course was a modest sized cold fish with salad beautifully presented, great bread followed with butter ( unusual in Japan! ) and main courses of Coq Au Vin and Sea Bream. Both had the expected presentation with sublet flavours. The best was desert, merely a creme brûlée in title but well executed with an equisite lemon and honey sherbet. Mind blowing and worth the meal on its own, I kid you not! We had no idea quality of he restaurant or we might have splashed out on a more expensive option. As always, better value for lunch. Service is impeccable but that's less unusual in Japan.

“good taste and view”
My wife and I went to Tokugawa-en Garden Restaurant. We ordered the most expensive course. Each dish is delicious, but maybe too little in volume for foreigners, I guess. Also we couldn't choose cheese wagon for desert. That was a big disappointment. For wines we chose pairing set drinking five kind...s of wines from white, red to ice. The quality was OK. We can see the old Edo-era style garden view from the restaurant, even though in the winter it got dark earlier.

“Great dinner, excellent setting”
Booked through the restaurant website. Confirmed the email reply from Open Table with the hotel concierge as everything was in Japanese. As it was already dark, we couldn't fully appreciate the beauty of Tokugawa Gardens. Wine selection was good and reasonably priced. Several burgundies from the 1...990s were also available. Selected the mid-range degustation out of 3 to choose from. The menu is in English as well. Pace of service was good. Excellent bread. Cuisine mainly French with Japanese ingredients and touches, accentuating the freshness of the food. Very innovative dishes. Portions a little small though.
