“Great Japanese restaurant/ryokan”

Stopped at a place when I saw this nice old-style looking building with the sign “LUNCH” spelled “ランチ”. Had to take off shoes and I was led to a tatami room. Would have had to sit on the floor but knowing I’m a westerner, they offered one of the low chairs. Found out this place was a ryokan, a J...apanese lodging place (hotel) that opens up its restaurant to the public. The staff spoke English so I could easily pick out my lunch. I had a great meal.
