Nagoyatokyu Hotel Rowaru Furenchi

The teppan yaki grills are placed, unusually, inside an upscale French restaurant within the Tokyu Hotel. We enjoyed good teppan yaki cooked on a typically spotless grill, all served with excellent & unobtrusive service. Also featured were a delicious starter of western chawan mushi (translates as s...avory custard but tastes a lot better), rice, pickles, dessert (home-made green apple sorbet), properly brewed tea & petit fours (high quality if tiny madeliene, candied lemon peel & fruit jelly). The only thing they could do better is to sear the outside of the steak as many other places do to provide a slightly crunchy texture. My wife was happily surprised to receive a perfect, single pink rose as a parting gift.
