“would you like soba with your music?”
Such a cool spot to visit-stunning sound system and the soba was wonderful . Modern and fresh tasting twist on classic soba noodles. There was just three kinds of soba on the menu, nothing else but that was fine with us. There is a good selection of cocktails , whiskys etc and a super chilled atmosph...ere all set in a lovely old machiya house with a tiny prettily lit garden.Magic!

“Soba with Mcintosh & JBL music in Kanazawa”
Buemon Soba Otoyu is located in the hart of the Higashi Chaya district known also as Geisha quarter. It is inside a traditional house, all wood very warm and cozy and you don't need to take out your shoes. If you can, ask for the manager to sit at the bar. You will be attracted by a wonderful techni...cal set of amplifiers and acoustic boxes of fine manufacture. Specially a kind of metal sculpture with kind of reverse cups gently red lighted at the base, that in minute I realized were electronic valves of a powerful amplifier. The music were flowing out the acoustic box very gently and robust at same time even at a very low volume. Incredible, I was just trapped. The menu is in japanese and it took a while to make understand the manager that beyond the soba I wished as well some appetizers. Finally we were set. We order three appetizers: one based on fish, one based on horse meat and an other just stardard sausages. The fish appetizer was delicious and original, it comes in form of a solid ellipsoid cut in slices completely white. It is actually a fish paste, very delicate. The second appetizer was a tartare of horse meat marinated with wasabi, just gorgeous. Then came the Soba the main dish. We ordered two types: the cold one and a hot one. The cold was accompanied by a mizu cold broth with whipped white of egg and the red served a part. Very creamy and different from usual soba. The hot one was served with similar white of egg and the experience is again very creamy. Interesting experience for the eyes and a new taste of soba for the mouth.
