Toyohashi Restaurant Guide

In south eastern Aichi Prefecture is the city of Toyohashi. East of Toyohashiis Shizuok aPrefecture, and on the southern coast is the Pacific.The local history is extensive and artifacts from the Jomon and Yayoi Period shave been found. Long ago, the area was called,"Honokuni". The name changed a number of times until "Toyohashi" was named after a bridge crossing Toyokawa River which runs through the area. Along Toyokawa Rivers Toyohashi Park which has the site of Yoshida Castle, an art museum,and are constructed castle turret (kurogane yagura).You can enter here constructed castle turret on Sundays and national holidays.The park also has a ball park, athletic field,pool,tennis courts,and kids playground.The park is a local favorite forrecr eation and relaxation. Inrecent years,Toyohashi Curried noodles have gained attention as a local dish..Normally,curry udon has curry roux with udon noodles. However,Toyohashi curry udon also has grated yam-covered rice at the bottom of the bowl under the curry udon.It is served at various restaurants in the city.
