Harborland Restaurant Guide

The area to the east of the JR Kobe and Kobe Municipal Subway Harborland stations has been redeveloped into a new town.It was opened in 1992, following the redevelopment of the JR freight station and abandoned factories in the area. At first, following the town's introduction, there were many different types of independent stores, but it is now home to large shopping facilities like the large shopping mall UMIE and Kobe Anpanman Children's Museum & Mall. The trees that line "Kobe Gas Lamp Road" are lit up with LED lights, and together with the surrounding red brick buildings, this well-known scenic spot is overflowing with feeling. Inside the red brick storehouses are restaurants where you can enjoy the night city skyline while you dine. Harbor Land Plaza is also home to a rare Japanese drawbridge with a pedestrian path, called "Hanekko" by locals. At night it is lit up by 1700 LED lights, creating a different scene than at daytime.
