Misaki Restaurant Guide

The town is located in the center of Okayama Prefecture. It was established after three towns in Kume-gun, Chuo-cho, Asahi-machi and Tanahara-cho, were combined. The nature-rich town has many parks including Miyasumi Park, famous for cherry blossoms and camellias, Nature Activity Park / Makibano-yakata, Yanahara Fureai Kozan Park, etc. The main industries of the town are fruit farming for rice, pears and grapes as well as tobacco leaves, and chicken farm. The town tries to attract tourists as it has two of Japan's Top 100 Terraced Paddies, the largest chicken farm in the western Japan, and "raw egg with rice", which was a favorite dish for Ginko Kishida. Other tourist spots include JR Kamenoko Station, which building is the shape of a turtle, Miyasumi Park, a park well-known for cherry blossoms and camellias, Nature Activity Park / Makibano-yakata, and Yanahara Fureai Kozan Park, which has displays of old trains using discontinued railway lines.
