Ibaraki city, which is located in the northern region of Osaka, is in-between the cities of Osaka and Kyoto.There are a large amount of apartments built near Ibaraki Station on the JR and Hankyu lines, and a large number of people live here in this bed town.In addition, ancient tombs of various eras have survived in one of the largest tomb zones in Japan.There is a cultural establishment called the "Ibaraki Municipal Kawabata Literature Memorial Hall" that displays items related to the writer Yasunari Kawabata, who won the Nobel Prize in Literature and spent his time here as a child.Although located in Suita, the Expo Commemoration Park is nearby, the site where the Japan World Exposition was held in 1970.There is a public square and sports facilities, as well as cultural facilities, and it has become a place of recreation and relaxation for people nearby.Expo Commemoration Park's symbol is the "Tower of the Sun", which the artist, Taro Okamoto, created during the World Exposition.It is also famous for the 3 faces it holds, the "Golden Face", which represents the future, the "Sun Face", which represents the present, and the "Black Sun", which represents the past.
