Temmabashi Restaurant Guide

Temma-bashi Bridge, located in Osaka's Kita Ward. The bridge, called Temma-bashi and unrelated to the place with the same name, spans the O-kawa river flowing through the center of Osaka. This bridge is unusual for Osaka, as it is a two-story bridge. The place called Temma-bashi, is a town centered around Temmabashi Station, which can be reached with on the Keihan and the Osaka Municipal Subway lines.Temmabashi Station became active at the end of the Meiji Period, and for a long time until 1963, Temmabashi Station was the starting point of the Keihan main line on the Osaka side. When it was extended to Yodoyabashi, Temmabashi Station was moved underground. At the site of the former above ground station is the Osaka Merchandise Mart Building (OMM Building). This long and narrow rectangular building is completely covered with one-way mirror glass. On clear days, the blue skies are beautifully reflected on the sides of the building. The Keihan Mall is directly connected to the Temmabashi Station and is bustling with shoppers.Among tourist attractions in the neighborhood is the Osaka Castle Park, which has many visitors, such as students on field trips and foreign tourists.
