“Good izakaya across the street from Hachinohe JR station with extensive menu.”
Reviews are all in Japanese so here's one in English. Walked by and noticed this izakaya with a sign saying they offer tofu and yuba dishes so decided to try. Seems popular with groups and families. You take your shoes off, place them in your own locker, then they'll take your party to a private ...room, or larger area upstairs with tables on the floor. I did not make reservations but we went early, and managed to get a table. You can order via tablet or in person, but menus are in Japanese. They offer sashimi, appetizers, lots of veggie options, rice, noodles, tofu, yuba (tofu sheets) as well as steak, potstickers, yakitori (chicken skewers) and countless alcoholic beverages. I forgot my iPad at the cashier when I left, but realized it a few hours later and called. They kindly held on to it and I was able to pick it up. Only in Japan!
