“Surprisingly good”

We were a little apprehensive at first because this is in the busiest part of Akihabara. But, it was a good experience. The quality of beef was amazing. Overall I would recommend this place.

“Three S problems: Salty, Service Mind, and up-Sell. (All-you-can-eat plan)”

Fukuju is self-described as a Korean style barbecue, which comes across as Yakiniku (grilled meat) in Japan. First Impression: Walk-in process is simple enough, but it turned complicated quickly as the front staff pushed back our name-write reservation without warning to make way for "people who ha...ve made an advance reservation." Service: I feel that the service in this shop is done to the formula. While the theatrics put up by the staff AS A TEAM is outstanding, I feel that INDIVIDUAL staff members are failing in service mind. We were rushed to sit down. My bag was pulled off my shoulder into the storage bin. Things were moved with force, and no consideration was made whatsoever. Additionally, our server went on in a huge attempt to sell the most expensive "course meal" possible without informing the diners of available options (it was also not written down in the menu), a move I consider under-handed. I can understand that Japanese restaurants can be prideful in their cooking and services, but this should not come at a trade-off of common courtesy. Food Quality: Most items have good meat texture and appropriate meat-fat ratios, but they are mostly all overseasoned to the point they are all salty. This is a waste of good quality meat that would otherwise have been the star of the whole district. Beef here could have easily trumped the other nearby chains. Beef tongue was sliced uneven and thick. This killed the cut itself. Pricing: At about 4,000 yen per person at the all-you-can-eat plan (and plus 1,600 for all-you-can-drink), the price is more or less reasonable for Tokyo. Verdict: Given the quality of food and service, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

A good restaurant for meat lovers, and thats what its all about. Meat from mostly cow and pig, but a large variety from different places on the animals. All meat are served raw and you cook it yourself on a grill in the middle of the table. All in all a good experience but, and there are some buts. ...First of all the menu is quite confusing. A lot of different meat, but called the same, and no explenations of what it was. Loads of pre made meat packages (included one to eat as much you want for 2 hours) but hard to tell what you get.And if you want vegetables, rice, potato etc then this must be ordered separate, and fried the same way as the meat, and it was little variety. The waiters did not speak too much english either, but this is quite common around Tokyo. A little confusing experience but overall good, but have been to better meat restaurants. Price around 2500-5000 yen with drinks and food per person depending on hunger level. PS: when paying with card they take it away and come back with it for a signature. Dont know what they did with it and I don't like this way of payment, but I guess they are trustworthy. It's the way they used to do it in the 80s, but this is Tokyo and they should have all evolved into modern code punching machines.

“Great Yakiniku and Service”

Me and my husband found out this restaurant by chance and missed to book in advance however they found a place for us. There is an all you can eat menu starting from two persons and you can enjoy Yakiniku with a variety of meat cuts and nice side dishes. Since there is a big choice at the beginning... they will bring some assorted meat so the choice will be easier. If you are lucky you can enjoy a nice view outside. Waiters are friendly, really helpful and speak english, in case the english menu is available as well. We felt that the cost was a bit expensive considering the addition of taxes, however you can really eat a lot of food and meat so its finally worth it.

We come across this place my accident and we were so happy we did! we were looking for a Barbecue menu, we choice the ‘all you can eat and drink’ opinion, which was great value. The waiter who was from Peru (if my memory serves me correctly) he was so helpful and we did not have to wait long for are... order to arrive. The food & cocktails was of a very high standard, and the views over Tokyo and Yodobashi Akida was sooo Cool. It was one of are Dinner highlights from our holiday in Tokyo. I want to go back!
