“Everything Deep fried tempura ”
Our friends made a lunch reservation at the Ginza Hageten. What an experience! We were served fresh tempura in stages throughout the 3 hour lunch. We started with prawn tempura and that was followed by so many other types of tempura such as asparagus, conger, green onion, sardine, prawn heads, s...pine of fish, lobster, shrimp, brussel sprouts stuffed with shrimp. All the tempura was brought in right after being cooked so hot and fresh. There is also a choice of sweet or spicy dipping sauce where you add grated daikon and ginger then you can dip the tempura either regular salt, pink salt or brown salt. In between we had rice, sashimi, taro in scallop jelly broth, miso soup with the tiniest clams, fresh salad, bite of potato salad/cognac/fish roe, pickled veg and finished with a red bean gelatin with chunks of pineapple. There was green tea, and roasted green tea to drink. All served in a private tatami room by the chef and geisha.

“The Food is Way Beyond my Western Comprehension”
Japanese say that the food in this restaurant is really good. It is clear that every dish was prepared with delicate attention, but I found it too abstract to appreciate. On the other hand this place is completely authentic and a must for whom wants to dive into Japanese, culinary experience.
