WOW! We came here looking for wagyu beef and they have advertised that you can get it "Jenga" style which is 10 or 18 pieces stacked like the Jenga game. They put a big wood fire grill on the table and you cook it up yourself! We also ordered ponzu sauce (which we've discovered is GREAT with wagyu b...eef), cucumbers, mushrooms, and a few pieces of short ribs. My husband and I couldn't stop saying "WOW!" For the rest of the night! The meat was tender, flavorful, juicy, ECT. If you are staying in Shinjuku you need to go to piss alley and try this place! It was less than $100 for everything we got and we were so full! Don't miss out!

This restaurant - Jonetsu Horamon specializes in organ meats and the most delicious lean wagyu beef steaks. The interior is quite spacious - the cubby holes with people sitting cheek by jowl gives way to neat 4-seater tables to which the server brings a hot grill and then the meats, marinated and re...ady to cook. You use tongs to turn the meat, ice to cool it down if the flames come up and cook it to your preference of rare, medium or well done. We ate the beef with miso and soy sauce accompanied by bowls of rice with spring onions, fried chilly garlic and an egg. Absolutely delicious!!
