At first glance, Sumitora seems like a quiet and tony wine bar with subdued lighting, bottles of wines, sake and other spirits on the racks on the wall. It is all that but it also is a top notch yakiniku place. There is no smoke despite the presence of a charcoal grill behind the counter. The s...ervice is attentive and friendly, despite the fact that I hardly speak any Japanese. The yakitori skewers are excellent, just as good as what you'd get in a little joint in yakitori alley in Yurakucho. Choose from two set menus starting at 4,000 yen for dinner. This gives you 5 sticks of assorted yakitori, daikon, cabbage salad and a large pot of nabe and zosui for enders.
