“First night in Japan, group dinner with our team”
Our first night in Tokyo, we were treated to a dinner with our Japanese colleagues. My boss and I walked with the group from the office to the restaurant, and really had no idea where we were going or what to expect. When we arrived at the door, I do admit to being mildly disappointed. I mean, reall...y. It was my first full night in Japan, and I'd been dreaming/craving/drooling over thoughts of sushi and ramen in Japan, and they take us to a Korean BBQ house. But, I was NOT going to complain. My boss and I followed the group into a small-ish room near the back, where we hunkered down and let our guides order for the table. Apparently there's a 2-hour window, in which one can order and consume alcoholic beverages to their heart's content. So, that's what we did, naturally. We were halfway through round two (that group can drink!) when the food items started to arrive at the table. We got all of what you'd expect from a KBBQ spot: various spicy banchan dishes, a cold glass noodle salad and a green salad, as well as an array of thinly sliced, perfectly plated raw meat. The banchan and glass noodle salads were group favorites (though one person did ask for non-spicy banchan). My boss and I went to town on the kimchee, much to the delight of our hosts. I know I ate way too many "appetizers", but it worked out in the end. The meats were all perfectly cooked (thanks to two of our hosts), juicy and flavorful. Again, I wouldn't seek out stomach, but it was interesting to try. I found out later that they had ordered a set meat meal, which came with the standard flanks and strips, and also tongue (yum!) and stomach (I tried it so as not to be rude, but would not seek it out on my own). The meat was supplemented by a round of shrimp and a vegetable/seafood pancake (that looked and felt more like a pizza). The shrimp were "normal", nothing spectacular. The vegetable/seafood pancake-that-was-a-pizza was way too dense for me to finish. I took a bite or two just to say I did, but couldn't finish it. The veggies and seafood were in chunks and completely smothered under a layer of thick cheese. All this sat on top of a crust that would've been pleasant on an empty stomach, but that was way too buttery and flaky at the end of a full meal and 4 alcoholic beverages. We ended the meal with a choice of noodle dishes - cold or hot - before pushing away from the table with a grunt and a groan. I opted for the cold noodles; the boss got the hot (and spicy). I really liked the slightly zesty flavor of the cold noodles, but could only slurp a few rounds before tapping. It wasn't only the fact that I was full to the brim, but that the noodles had a different consistency that I wasn't too keen on. Overall it was a decent meal, but I could tell that our hosts were a bit miffed by the lack of service. I understand a bit of Japanese, and could tell that they were upset that the waitress wasn't checking on us, and that she didn't respond to the button pushes in a timely manner. I know they felt bad for us, thinking that we'd take offense. In reality, my boss and I were so stuffed and exhausted that we didn't even notice.

“Good dining experience ”
Dined on 22 Oct 2018 at 1:00p.m. 3 people. Sat at one of the private dining rooms. Servers were very polite and accommodating . Speed of service was amazingly good. Food was overall very good as well as beverages and service. Found the sauces a bit weak however was not a big problem. Recommended

“Not recommended ”
We came in for dinner of a family of 3 , the staff member was not very welcoming , we ordered 3 dishes of beef , 2 dishes of pork , 4 servings of rice , extra Kim Chi , buttered corn , 1 beer between 2 adults and 1 child . We also ordered prawns which we did not get but charged us twice for it . Di...d not realise until we got back to the hotel and used the translation app that they had charged us double for a dish we did not get . The quantity of the dishes were suitable for mice to eat . I have had Korean/Japanese bbq in a lot of places and this one was the poorest I have experienced. For anyone looking for bbq dinners I suggest travelling to Shibuya .

“Fresh grilled meat”
This was an experience. You are given a grill, you order your different meat and vegetables and grill to your liking. The only downfall is that there's no extractor fans so be prepared to leave the restaurant smelling of grilled meat. It's good value and the korean rice stone pots are really tasty.
