Fuuki

The menu is all in Japanese, but this is the kind of experience we were looking for: a local favorite, away from the tourists. Through some pictures, and two friendly waitresses, we were able to order an amazing dish of rare meat, served with a sublime garlic sauce. We later added two orders of Sake..., again with the staff's recommendation, and a plate of udon. The owner/chef sent a dish of fried chicken our way, that he thought we would like, and when we inquired about dessert, they said they don't usually have dessert, but the chef again whipped something sweet to top it off. As we were eating, a group of inebriated salary-men stumped out of the inner room. We required no further evidence that we chose well. If you're not afraid of some communication problems, and willing to try new things, this is an exciting option for a night out.
