“Great pork at tourist prices”
This was the price previously for their higher end breed 160g - ¥4800 240g - ¥6800 So u paid ¥2k for extra 80g which is fair enough However Was there yesterday and they used a marker pen change it to 180g for ¥6800. I asked the waitress why pay extra ¥2k just for a negligible extra 20g? She rep...lied they will give a nicer cut Anyway we got the most expensive breed one sirloin and one tenderloin. Both tasty and the tenderloin is really tender for pork. The sirloin had a bit too much fat cap for some pieces. The tomato was delicious cause had slight charred taste with a hit of ponzu sourness Tbh their pork is maybe slightly better than other places and whether it’s worth the extra 30-35% more depends on the individual.

“My fave Tonkatsu place in Tokyo!”
Such a great experience here! The pork is top quality, fried to perfection, and the side sauce is amazing. The staff were lovely, checking in to see if I needed more rice or soup. And the old Japanese house ambiance is so charming—I was seated on the second floor, which added to the whole vibe. Can’...t wait to come back!! Highlights: akadashi (not many restaurants in Tokyo serve this!), sauce, and vibes.

“Amazing Tonkatsu”
One of Tokyos best places to enjoy Tonkatsu. Great restaurant with fantastic staff and a very cozy environment! Hard to get a set so reserve ahead.

“Why can't I request upstairs anymore? I won't eat downstairs, so I can't reserve. So I can't go. So frustrating.”
The food is amazing, and this was one of our favorite restaurants in Tokyo. They have always been accommodating and friendly. HOWEVER, today I tried to reserve in person, and was told that I have to reserve online and they have eliminated the option of requesting the upstairs. I ate downstairs onc...e, and it was one of the worst restaurant ambiance I've ever experienced (in contrast to the upstairs, which is one of the best). So never again. I am very very sad that they have become so dogmatic. Where is caring about your repeat customers? Maybe their reviews are so good they get enough tourists so they don't care anymore about locals?
