“perhaps my expectations were too high based on other positive reviews”
you may want to try it out yourself. perhaps I was the exception and was there at the wrong moment or expectations were too high on the basis of the other reviews. do not order wine by the glass but do as most locals in this restaurant: drink beer ! vegetables and fries are served around 10 minutes... before meat ( but perhaps this is local habit) .

“Wonderful bistro with tasty beef and good wines and beer”
It’s on the back side of Nakadori bldg. Once you get close to it, you will find a nice bistro. They do have various kinds of craft beers which were good. Beer lovers can enjoy the variety. I tend to enjoy wines and they offer good amounts of wines. Started with a beer and seven kinds of tapas and... white asparagus based the server’s recommendation. We ordered three kinds of beef, including Ozaki beef, which is higher quality Japanese meat, 150g each. Not too fatty beef; but great quality lean beef. You can pick various portion of beef; I am sure you will be satisfied. Fantastic bistro!
