“Delicious tempura, exceptional service!”
We enjoyed a delicious, quick lunch here between our Tokyo sightseeing. The food was fresh and a good size serving. Nice, quiet restaurant. Definitely recommend!

“Nothing special”
Food slightly above ordinary, but no atmosphere/ambience at all. Reminded me of my school reports ... “could and should do better”.

“Excellent tempura in a great building for food and shopping!”
FUNABASHIYA serves excellent tempura with pre defined menus at reasonable price for Tokyo, English menu available, and the lady speaks English! Excellent service. The restaurant is in a superb food court on the fifth floor of a great building full of shops and restaurants. It is just across the T...okyo Train Station, very convenient. PS last ok at my photos for front sign of restaurant because no English sign at the restaurant!

“Nice atmosphere, I was a little disappointed in the tempura”
We had a lovely booth seat, very conducive for a leisurely meal and a nice change from the normally crowded restaurants. I had the set meal, loads of rice, excellent miso soup and tuna. I was disappointed in the tempura which was soggy, it was like it was cooked in a sauce. My husband had a tempura ...platter, the tempura was much better, it was crisp and was clearly cooked for the order

“Excellent tempura in shinmaruburu as good as their Shinjuku Branch”
I have been going for years to the Shinjuku one and have started to eat at this one. Same service, cooks even friendlier. Lunch is a very good deal. I like the A set. As extra I like their "calcium" tempura (basically a tempura if the fish bones). Sitting at the counter is nicer.
