“Totally an onigiri shop...”

1
Reviewed 19/Sep/2018

As Figaro who reviewed this joint a few years back mentioned, this place shouldn't be called a sushi shop, it should be called an onigiri shop. The amount of rice they put on the not-fresh fish is astonishing. For ~$35 USD and the stupid wait they have for this place, it's not worth it. The crazy th...ing is I also saw legitimate locals eating there. I'm not sure what the appeal of this place was but it was horrible. Be warned, you also have to speak Japanese here. You won't fly if you just speak English because they don't have an English menu and you're forced to point at the wooden placards they have on the wall to order. We were yelled at several times to look up images on the internet so we can show the chef. If you got lucky and sat in the middle, you can at least point at some of the fish in the window but otherwise, you're pretty much screwed. So if you don't speak Japanese, try your hardest to sit near the middle if you still want to eat. Don't come here if you want good sushi.

“Extra big rice to fill you up”

1
Reviewed 23/Sep/2016

Worst sushi trap ever. You'll regret spending your time and money here. They make their sushi with huge amounts of rice to fill you up quickly. This is not a sushi restaurant. It is an onigiri shop. You are better off going to any conveyor belt sushi restaurant and eating your fill for a third of th...e price of maturity. The tiny slices of fish on the rice mounds are also subpar to many of the other sushi places you can visit in tsukiji. Don't be a victim of the good reviews.

“ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI - only on the weekends”

4
Reviewed 30/Dec/2015

This sushi place is popular for its signature "all-you-can-eat" program offered only on the weekends (incl national holidays.) You can order almost all items for 90 minutes, with only Y3,500 (USD30) - cash only. Downside is that they don't take any reservation for this so you have to lineup anyway ...or you can also write down your name to the waiting list posted on the door on 8:30 in the morning. Have a try.
