We had a private room for our family. The food was delicious & the service was great! Our server was very friendly. We enjoyed the experience! They even provided a kids meal for our 18-month old grandson.

Every time we travel to Tokyo, we have dining at Rangetsu on our list. We did not have reservations for our family of four but we arrived shortly after they opened and was able to secure a table. We each ordered the dinner a la carte Shabu Shabu per usual. Shabu Shabu is thinly sliced Wagyu beef... that a person places in a large pot of boiling broth. Each person also has a plate of thinly sliced vegetables to cook as well. It takes less than a minute for the Wagyu slice to be cooked. Each dinner was 7,000 yen or $48. A service charge was also added which rarely happens in other Japanese restaurants. To be honest, we were disappointed because the beef which we usually thoroughly enjoyed here was not flavorful. We ate at many restaurants during our stay in Tokyo and Kyoto and this was by far the most expensive and our least favorite.
