Everything was spot on Food is extremely fresh More outstanding is the service esp by Natsuko Oka who demonstrated excellent knowledge and impeccable service. Highly recommended 👍

Every time we travel to Tokyo, we have dining at Rangetsu on our list. We did not have reservations for our family of four but we arrived shortly after they opened and was able to secure a table. We each ordered the dinner a la carte Shabu Shabu per usual. Shabu Shabu is thinly sliced Wagyu beef... that a person places in a large pot of boiling broth. Each person also has a plate of thinly sliced vegetables to cook as well. It takes less than a minute for the Wagyu slice to be cooked. Each dinner was 7,000 yen or $48. A service charge was also added which rarely happens in other Japanese restaurants. To be honest, we were disappointed because the beef which we usually thoroughly enjoyed here was not flavorful. We ate at many restaurants during our stay in Tokyo and Kyoto and this was by far the most expensive and our least favorite.

food was good, but the service was borderline rude, indifferent and was not very good. food was delivered just placed on the table and walk away, no comments no smile no nothing. I was 1 person and my bill was 230USD but not even a decent thankyou when I left, just pointed to the door.

Found this place on the main road in Ginza an hour before the restaurant closed, but the staffs are very kind to assist us as their last customer. The meal was surprisingly EXCELLENT. the beef was probably the best beef I've ever had in my life. But price is super expensive, but for the service and ...food (and also location) that we had, it was worthy.
