“Delicious grilled food under the tracks!”
Delicious food and great atmosphere! Excellent robatayaki. A large choice of grilled and other food, all cooked to perfection: squid, pork, ayu fish, corn, eggplant, onion, okra, myoga, sashimi, aburaage tofu, corn, rice balls, etc. Location is right under the tracks. Sit at the front so the cooks... can hand you the food on long-handled paddles. Service was attentive and fast. Only downside is the smoke.

“Cosy, local izakaya”
(visited in late-June 2016) Friendly ten-cho (restaurant manager/owner, I suppose), cosy JP style restaurant. It has other similar 'branches' also apparently. About a minute walk out of Shimbashi Station, Karasumori Ticket Gate. The restaurant special of "age-tofu-yaki" is highly recommended. ...Seafood served as yaki or osashimi are fresh n delicious. Vegetables are also recommended to keep good balance. The seasonal types are chosen n choices should be kept so to enjoy the best of the selection. We finished off with ocha-zuke (ocha rice bowl with salmon or sea weed or fish roe) n yaki-onigiri (BBQ rice ball). Our first time to try Calpis-soda drink (as they do not have Ginger Ale). Recommended. It is fermented milk that has a long history in JP. Quite healthy kind of drink to go with dishes in izakaya to my surprise. The surrounding of this station towards the Shiodome side where high rise buildings are located does not have many shops. It has wide relaxing open space though. It seems to be an office area n weekend makes it into a dead-city feel. Nice hiding area though. It is the opposite side to where most shoppers n malls are. There is a reasonable underground parking at Shinbashi station. Getting to its entrance can be tricky but definitely recommended if you drive.

“Wonderful evening”
This is a very good traditional robatayaki place. Fish grilled on a charcoal fire passed to you on a long handle paddle! Lots of choices.

“Really good food, freshly cooked on a charcoal grill”
The restaurant is really small and hard to find, in a small pedestrian street near Shimbashi Station. We went there with a local who regulary goes there. It's really typical japan, high quality food, nicely prepared. You basically choose what you want to eat, it'll be prepared and then you choose yo...ur next dish - until you're done. We loved the food and the atmoshere. No english menu!
