“Ok if your looking for Italian food in Tokyo”

Quiet expensive noisy restaurant offering Italian food in Tokyo - why would you? We stopped off for a few drinks only which weren't cheep but we enjoyed the experience of the waiters shout out in Italian every time someone entered of left the restaurant.

The pizza we had for dinner was quite good, so was the tiramisu and the icecream for dessert. But the noise in the restaurant was quite annoying.

“Good pizza - Better Pasta”

Reviewed 08/Jul/2012

We visit Sapporo every summer and last year a new Salvatore Cuomo opened up near the Sapporo JR Station. The lines were too long at the time to try it out. Yesterday we were downtown doing a little shopping and decided to stop by and give it a try. We arrived around 1:30 and waited about 30 minutes... to be seated. They have a lunch menu which includes your choice of pizza or pasta and includes access to the salad bar/buffet for 1400 yen ($18USD). The Buffet had a decent selection of salad, soup and desert. Nothing to spectacular, but nothing bad either. My wife had Creamy Spinach & Ham Pasta that she said was really good. The kids echoed her opinion. We also had a couple of Margherita pizza's and a D.O.C. pizza. The pizza is Naples style thin crust fired in a wood burning brick oven. Both were quite tasty. The D.O.C. used more mozzarella (Water Buffalo) than the Margherita and also had more tomatoes. Overall it was quite good. The only downside was that for lunch for four it cost almost 8000 yen ($100USD). Compared to Spinato's (our favorite pizza joint in AZ) this is double what we would pay for less food. For Japan it is reasonable I suppose.
