“Good soba spot.”
The tempura and soba set was very good. The staff were friendly. The restaurant is a beautiful attachment to the Hakone Ten Yu hotel. They don’t have machines for credit card tap so they have to take your card to the back and bring you a slip to sign. So 90’s.

“Beautiful traditional Soba Restaurant”
During our private tour to Mt Fuji and Hakone Shrine, we've stopped by Soba Kihinkan for a traditional Soba lunch. The restaurant is located inside a traditional japanese house with a beautiful garden. We sat in a private room - the food is delicious! The menu comes in a set and was so tasty! Great ...experience! Would love to visit it again if we're back in the Hakone area.

The location, the food and the service are amazing. The restaurant is a traditional styled Japanese house, with stunning garden views and views of the of the valley. The menu is thoughtfully divided into personal menus, including several courses per person. We had the duck menu and the fish menu… a...ll delicious. The service was also top notch, very nice team.

“Soba Noodle Course with Granduer View In Traditional Japanese House”
■Soba Noodle Course We had a course consisting of appetizer, hot soba noodle, tempura, and dessert. Soba was not extraordinary but nice. Tempura was remarkable. it makes most use of original taste of ingredients such as young corn, maitake mushroom and shrimp. Dessert was bracken-starch dumpling(War...abi-Mochi). Soba-tea went well with above dishes. ■Staffs Staffs were dressed in kimono. They are polite and professional. ■Venue The restaurant uses Japanese traditional house, which was built by a baron in Taisho Era. Sophiscated garden and Mountains can be seen there make the view granduer.

“Traditional Kyoto style setting for Soba selections”
The Tenyu organized a quick shuttle ride down the hill to this superh example of Kyoto style building complete with an art gallery and sprawling garden. Little bit of a wait as the restaurant was full. Impeccable service as is par for the course in Japan. The dining are has glass all round with a gr...eat view of the garden. Exquisite starters with an opportunity to grate your own fresh wasabi. A choice of hot or cold soba with tempura, chicken or fish(rainbow trout). Both the soba and the soup had a distinct wood fire flavour and i preferred the hot soba. The sounds of happy patrons slurping away loudly and enthusiastically at their soba in a tribute to the chef took a little getting used to but i soon joined in. Made the soba taste nicer...i think. Superb soba experience!!!
