We were a party of five and came across this restaurant in the neighborhood where we stayed. Someone from a nearby shop told us this was owned by the family of a former Sumo wrestler, trainer. There are many artifacts representing the Sumo culture. Interesting! Our meal was incredible! The son and w...ife of the Sumo run the restaurant. We weren't quite sure what to order so they took over... they served starters, then a delicious salad. We then had edimame and a Japanese delicacy... sashimi horse (Sakura). It was SO tender and the sauce was fantastic. Then came a sashimi plate with a variety of fish... salmon, scallops, shrimp, ahi and more. Again, the freshest and most delicious! We were getting full and thought this dining experience was coming to an end when the chef brought the "hot pot" to our table to prepare before us. It was a fun experience! We learned the hot pot is a traditional meal for Sumo's... this restaurant was opened to serve the Sumo friends of the owners. Though the father has since passed away, he was so respected that Sumo's apparently still visit for meals. The hot pot was amazing! Flavorful! Unbelievably we still had shells in an incredible sauce delivered... we waddled out of this fantastic restaurant! We highly recommend this restaurant and will certainly return on our next visit!!!
