“New experience”
Walked with our tour group to this restaurant by way of a tunnel located just outside the Keio Hotel. Reminded us of Montreal with its malls under the city. So many shops, stores, and restaurants. Upon arrival we removed our shoes and placed them on the proper shelves. We had a private room where we... sat on the floor with our legs placed in the space below the table. Cuisine here was a combination of Japanese and Western: Miso soup, sashimi, salad, (rare) roast beef, delicious potato wedges, and sherbet for dessert. Service was good (it helps to have a guide on the tour who assists and translates). A beverage (wine, beer, some cocktails, tea, etc.) was included. Don't know about pricing as it was part of the tour. A nice experience that was new different for most of us.

“Too Loud, Too few wait staff”
Our tour group had dinner here. Not being that familiar with Japanese cuisine I don't feel qualified to comment on the food. Some of it was tasty, some was not. I did eat everything offered. HOWEVER (1) The noise level was so high that it was difficult to talk to others in our group, The noise wa...s both from the hard surfaces which reflected our talking and from other noisy guests including a group that was applauding loudly every few minutes. (2) There was only 1 waiter for 21 people (our tour guide had to pitch in for us to be able to eat at near the same time, and while they would not allow shoes in the restaurant, (3) There was no bench or other place for us senior citizens to sit while we removed or put back on our shoes. Many of us had to sit on the floor. At our age, that was not a present sight as we struggled to get down or get back up without hurting ourselves. While they proudly displayed their Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence, I did not feel that it had been earned.

“Authentic atmosphere.”
Visited as a group on an organized tour so didn't have to work out what to eat. The set meal was excellent, the rooms are designed to give privacy/separation from other dinners and the tables have wells underneath to place your feet thus eliminating the need, for westerners especially, to sit uncomf...ortably cross legged on the floor.

“Great Japanese food despite the menu catering to westerners”
We loved the little room we were in overlooking outside. Enjoyed the tofu salad, the pickles and the chicken. We had the raw salmon and raw tuna too (too much oil on the tuna). Overall good experience and beautiful restaurant. The staff were great too :)
